Edmund Scientific's is the leading provider of science education products to K-12 teachers, homeschoolers, and hobbyists throughout the United States. Our science education product lines cover a wide range of disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Forensics, Physics and Scientific Inquiry. We carry a diverse selection of Scholar Chemicals, K-6 Science Products, and General Laboratory Supplies. We also offer our own Boreal Microscope and Teacher Developed, Classroom Tested product lines. In addition we have hundreds of Recommended Materials Lists correlating to leading science textbooks. We have been in the business of science since 1957.
How Does the Edmund Scientific's Affiliate Program Work?
It's so simple! As an affiliate, you'll direct your website traffic to Edmund
Scientific's through links on your site. We provide you with image and graphic links and will work with you to create custom graphics that work best for your site. We can also create special landing pages on our site that welcome your traffic and help them focus on those products they are most interested in.
When an individual comes to our website from your website and makes a purchase, you recieve a commission of
between 5% and 15% of the merchandize total. We track all sales generated by your traffic using our website admintools. When your total commission amount reaches $25.00 or more, we will contact you to let you know your commission total. You simply email us an invoice and we send you a check. It's that easy.
Our tiered program works like this: Every month, if you generate up to $500.00 in merchandize sales on our website, your commission is 10%. If you generate $500.01 or over, your commission is 15%. Who can participate and how much does it cost?
Almost anyone can participate. Sites will be rejected if they promote: sexually explicit material, violence, illegal activities or discrimination based on sex, race, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age. All sites are subject to our approval. There is NO CHARGE required to become an affiliate.
I don't have a website yet. Can I still apply to the affiliate program?
For those who wish to promote Edmund Scientific's though creating links on a website, the site must be operational at the time you apply in order for LinkShare to consider the application. However, if you wish to promote us via email, newsletters or blogs, that is also allowed. Contact us to discuss.
How much and how often will I get paid?
Affiliates are paid monthly, provided they meet the sales threshold of $25. The commission structure is directly related to the volume of referrals that you make. Each money we take the total amount of merchandize sales you generated and notify you via email to invoice us for your commission. Once we recieve your invoice, we submit to our accounting department for payment. Typically our accounting department cuts checks every 15 days.
Do I get paid for each month that a customer I referred continues to purchase from Edmund Scientific's?
It depends. If the customer comes from your site and makes a purchase, then returns to our site directly, only the first sale will be recorded. If the customer only comes to our site through the links on your website, then all sales will be recorded and you will be paid a commission for each.
If I am a member of the Edmund Scientific's Affiliate Program, can I also be a memeber of the other programs in the Science and Education Affiliate Network?
Yes. You can join any or all of the Science and Education Affiliate Network Programs. These include the SK Reading Affiliate Program, SK Math Affiliate Program, Ward's Natural Science Affiliate Program, Sargent-Welch Affiliate Program and Boreal Affiliate Program. Beginning August 1st 2006 you may also apply to join the Edmund Scientific Affiliate Program.
I don't live in the U.S. can I still be an affiliate?
It is possible to become an affiliate if your site is managed outside of the U.S. However, it is imperative that you provide substantial evidence that your website has a sizeable U.S. audience, since only U.S. residents are eligible to become subscribers to our service. If you have a primarily non-U.S. and non-Canadian audience, then we recommend joining the Wardsci Affiliate Program. If you have a primarily Canadian audience, then we recommend joining the Boreal Affiliate Program.
Where do I get the links to put on my site? Can I make my own links?
We provide you with all the links and images to be used on your site. We will work with you to create custom graphic and text links that you believe will draw the attention of your audience. We can also create special landing pages designed specifically for your traffic. You may create your own text and image links but we must approve all before placement. Failure to secure approval prior to posting of said links will be grounds for immediate rejection from the program.
Can I use email or newsletters to promote Edmund Scientific's?
Email and Newsletter campaigns must be approved on a case by case basis.
How do I keep track of how many referrals I have made?
Using our website analytic and admintools, Edmund Scientific's is able to keep track of referrals, number of sales and merchandize total amounts.
